How it came to be

Our first visit to Huatulco was in 2015.  We honestly did not know very much about the area and we split time between an AirBnb (Agua Azul la Villa) and a larger hotel (Secrets) - both had their positives.

We have visited coastal Mexico many times and have enjoyed each visit but we just fell in love with Huatulco.  The people are friendly, the beaches are amazing, the food is outstanding, and the weather - well it's hot.

Every vacation we seemed to say that we could see ourselves living here (where we were vacationing).  For Huatulco it wasn't just words.  We knew we had to make this happen.  In early 2017 we began diligently looking into making this a reality.

By August 2017 we had compiled a list of 15 condos/houses to visit.  Our wonderful agent Leah worked her way through the list and added a surprise viewing at the end. 

When we opened the door to the place in Cruz del Mar we just knew.   The floor, although tile, was like glass. It was reflecting the view from the patio. We walked to the patio doors and the full view of Santa Cruz marina, beach, and bay was overwhelming.

We loved it and knew we had to make it ours. By October 2017 all the paperwork was done and we came down to decorate. It has been like a dream ever since.

 We put a lot of thought into the décor and wanted it to feel beachy and comfortable yet still be higher end accommodations. All of the furniture was made in Mexico with some of the items made right here in the Huatulco area. 

We are Mike and Celeste, two working professionals from San Luis Obispo, California.  We feel incredibly grateful to have made our dream come true and we look forward to sharing our place with you.
